I have some polyurea coatings in drums which are getting older. Do you know what the shelf life is on polyurea when stored in drums?

Answer:

Most of the polyurea products we market are “best used by” in 1 year. They are not significantly degraded for long after that, and are often used 3 years after manufacture with no noticeable difference. The same general shelf life applies to most of our coating products.

Always check with your coating manufacturer regarding other brand products. Some manufacturers only recommend a shelf life of 3 months. It isn’t unusual to find that projects get put on hold, so you can easily find that your entire purchase is significantly degraded or unusable altogether. This is not the case with the products we sell
