Can You Provide a Specialty Color?
Question:
I would like a bedliner in Copper Sheen color. I don’t know a paint code, but can your bed liner be supplied in this color?
Answer:
While we can provide automotive pigments based on specific paint code, you may want to check out: https://www.paintwithpearl.com/shop/candy-pearl-paint-colors/metallic-paint-candy-pearl-paint-colors-candy-pearl-paint-colors/orange-copper-candy-pearl/ for your specific request. If you have a Sherwin Williams Automotive Finishes supplier near you (not the regular paint store), you may also want to look at this item: https://www.sw-rodandrestocustomcolor.com/colors/PCRS13 . Other than those colors, you would need to provide an actual paint code from a vehicle to have us match. Basically, you will use automotive pigments or paints to tint our bedliner product.
Automotive pigments usually add about $60 per pint, which would tint about 1 gallon of our Tintable bedliner: https://store.sprayliningandcoatings.com/product/tintable-bed-liner-kit/ . This specific kit includes 1.5 gallons Tintable, so 2 pints would be recommended. NOTE: The Tintable product is usually applied as a top coat, after applying our bedliner with Poly Powder in a shade of Grey as a base coat. This allows you to get a thick bedliner with texture, while reducing cost. You would need to purchase both the Tintable kit, and a Standard Bedliner kit, or select our full Custom Color kit https://store.sprayliningandcoatings.com/product/colored-bedliner/ and select the Tintable version here if you are adding the color tint, or have us add it with the Exact Match option. This package doesn’t have as much Tintable product as the first kit, but ends up with a thicker overall coating. You can also select our larger kit: https://store.sprayliningandcoatings.com/product/colored-truck-bedliner-full-size-truck/ , or have us custom quote your exact items.
Using the tints mentioned on the first link, you would probably best order 3-4 bags of their product based on their recommendations. At $10 per bag, your cost would be $40 versus $120 for automotive pigments. Using our standard colored bedliner kit, you would want ½ that amount, and the larger kit would again need 3-4 bags.
