Does paint that is original have to be stripped completely?

Answer:

Stripping paint is not advised for any of our coating products. Your bedliner is designed to adhere to the existing paint or primer presuming it is in relatively good condition. The surface needs to be clean, free of was or oil, and recommended to be scuffed for best adhesion, but bare metal is best primed first.
