What is the shipping cost to Alaska and Hawaii for your coatings?
Question:
I don’t see any shipping options for Alaska or Hawaii. Do you ship to these states, and what is the cost?
Answer:
Alaska and Hawaii shipping can be very expensive. We would have to get a freight or ground shipping cost depending on the exact ship to address since the automatic calculators don’t work to these destinations. Take this example of a standard 30 lb box shipped by FedEx: Cost to Anchorage… $218.38 Cost to Norfolk Virginia… $52.15. Of course… That’s just a quick quote from one carrier, and freight can be a different world altogether, but unless you are shipping to a destination in the contiguous 48, shipping can be very high. Average pallet size freight to a destination like Virginia is usually under $350, and less for additional pallets on same load.
Many of our Alaska or Hawaii customers use a shipping coordinator service where they handle the final transport as part of regular runs. In these cases, we can ship to the coordinator, and you can save by handling the final transport.
